Who is Help Elevate Youth (HEY)?
Founded by Daniel Su in March 2023, HEY (Help Elevate Youth) is a not-for-profit organisation led by enthusiastic and passionate high school students who are dedicated to supporting disadvantaged homeless communities and vulnerable youth through empowerment programs and necessary care packages. We strive to uplift and sustain the physical and mental wellbeing of those in need.

What is HEY’s mission?
HEY's mission is to ensure that all homeless people from different communities are provided with sufficient support and basic necessities needed to sustain a healthy well-being. HEY also partners with children's hospitals, orphanages, and homeless shelters to provide resources and programs that advocate for children's education.

What are the current projects you are working on?
Currently at HEY, we are hosting and planning care package campaigns to be run in various communities throughout 2024. We are also working with childrens’ hospitals and childrens’ care centres to organise educational workshops, interactive content, and an engaging experience. Our social media director is working to run the HEY podcast program, working with industry guests to learn more about how we can all make an impact in helping disadvantaged individuals.

How can I get involved with HEY?
You can get involved with HEY through our website and navigating to the “Get Involved” page. You can then either choose to apply for our executive team, or volunteer in one of our five departments. You can also join our community Discord server to stay more informed about recent updates and any important announcements.

What does a volunteer at HEY do?
At HEY, a volunteer can be involved in one of our six departments: technology & website, partnerships, social media, finance & fundraising, and marketing. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to apply for a role that best suits their individual strengths and personal interests, including graphic design and illustration in social media, to website editing for technology.
